The next conference of the Association for German Studies in Great Britain and Ireland will take place at Bangor University, 29-31 August 2018. The lead panel for the conference will be Anniversary Capital, with a number of regular as well as one-off panels.

In conjunction with its upcoming symposium, “The Arts of Democratization: Styling Political Sensibilities in Postwar West Germany” (April 5-7, 2018), the Department of Germanic Languages at Literatures at Washington University in St. Louis is pleased to announce the availability of a limited number of travel grants. The event, which marks the 24th Biennial St. Louis Symposium on German Literature and Culture, is co-organized by Jennifer M. Kapczynski and Caroline A.

Call for Papers: Teaching and Learning with Brecht
The Center for Interdisciplinary Polish Studies (ZIP) in Frankfurt Oder/Słubice will hold its the fifth annual Summer School of Interdisciplinary Polish and German Studies from June 4 - July 13, 2018. This six week program is designed for up to 30 university-level (post-doctoral, doctoral, graduate or advanced undergraduate) researchers interested in Polish/German studies broadly defined.
