The workshop opens and closes with two online events that are open to the general public.

Yiddish was once heard in Jewish neighborhoods throughout Poland as a language of daily life. It was also the language of literature, the press, films, and theater.

Dear colleagues,
I'm writing to share two CfPs for next year's MLA convention, "Vernacular Science" and "Yiddish, Yinglish, English: Rendering the Multilingual Immigrant Text in a Dominant Language". Abstracts are due by March 19, please be in touch with questions. These two panels have been proposed by the LLC Yiddish forum's executive committee, which I am chairing this year. We would love to hear from other MLA members interested to participate in the Yiddish forum in future years.
Dear Colleagues,,
My disseration for my doctorate at Brandeis University, Hillel Zeitlin: The Early Years features Zeitlin as journalist, biographer,neo-Hasiidic thinker and communal activist.. It has been uploaded to academia.edu.
I hope it will be helpful for those interesed in Eastern European Jewish Intellectual History.
