Zelikow response re H-Diplo Roundtable XXIII-41 on Zelikow.  The Road Less Traveled: The Secret Battle to End the Great War, 1916-1917

Response by Philip Zelikow, University of Virginia

Commenting on the extensive June H-Diplo Roundtable about my recent book, The Road Less Traveled, Dr. Perett adds that he thinks the British and French governments did not want peace, and that the German Chancellor, Theobald von Bethmann Hollweg, attached too many conditions to the key concession of returning Belgium.
