My apologies to NASSH members for cross-listing this post. I'm posting this message for an undergraduate honors student who is working on an honors thesis on the career of Dorothy Anderson, a tennis player who spent a year (1934) competing on the varsity's men's tennis team at Penn State. She certainly is an anomaly at Penn State but the student is exploring whether she was also a total anomaly at the national level.
Thanks in your advance for your help.
