EXTENDED DEADLINE: CFP: "Denial: The Final Stage of Genocide: First International Conference of the Center for Holocaust, Genocide & Human Rights Studies"

We've had plenty of great proposals but nonetheless decided to extend the deadline: December 1, 2018 is the deadline.

Re: X-Post: MiWSR: Smither on Moïse, "The Myths of Tet: The Most Misunderstood Event of the Vietnam War"

First, thanks for this posted Review. Prof. Moise, with whom have had previous discussions, not just about this subject, attempts here to answer many of the historic issues and subjects surrounding Tet.

In a couple of them will agree with the points made by this Review as book conclusions. In a couple of others have maybe commented elsewhere but will posit on this Review[not having read Prof. Moise's book] the points do not reach satisfactory presentation.

SMH: Gender or Memory Panel

I know it's a little last minute, but I am looking to put together a panel on either gender and war or memory/memorialization in the 20th century for SMH (or participating in either one that is still looking for scholars.). I am looking to present on the gendering of Vietnam War memorials. Please reach out to me at ariel.natalo-lifton@temple.edu if you would be interested.
