CFP: Panelists for Roundtable on Teaching Environmental History (WHA Salt Lake 2020)

The theme of the WHA's 2020 meeting is "Sustainability & Preservation: Local + Regional + Global." Two panelists and I are seeking additional participants for a round table on "Teaching (Global) Environmental History in the Shadow of Climate Change." We are particularly interested in exploring climate change from a historical pedagogical perspective, including teaching methods, concepts, and approaches. For instance, how can ideas like the "Anthropocene" help students cosider history in new ways?

H-Diplo/ISSF Teaching Roundtable 11-6 on The Clash of Civilizations in the IR Classroom

H-Diplo is pleased to launch the first of a series of ‘Teaching Roundtables’ that will feature commissioned essays by a range of scholars on how to approach certain topics in the classroom, how to introduce methodological and historiographical debates to students, and more.

Andrew Szarejko, H-Diplo’s new Teaching Editor, is the founding and commissioning editor. We anticipate a lively series of discussions that will be of great use to all of those who teach in the field.
