PAC-12 Interdisciplinarity Study

I am working on a survey of Interdisciplinarity in American Indian/Native Studies Gen Ed courses at PAC-12 universities for a dissertation. This work seeks to examine the role of Interdisciplinarity to our field decades after its beginnings. In generating data for this project, I am asking that instructors (professors, adjuncts, and teaching assistants alike) at PAC-12 universities teaching introductory Gen Ed AI/NS courses take a roughly ten minute online survey.

Survey on Jewish baby names, Starbucks names, pets’ names, etc.

You’re invited to take a fun survey about American Jewish first names. The researchers want to know which names Jews and non-Jews associate with Jews. Who has a “Starbucks name”? Who gives their children Biblical names? Israeli names? Who gives their dogs names like Babka and Afikomen? Porkchop? To answer these questions, the researchers need your help. Please take 10-12 minutes to fill out the survey, and then forward this invitation to others.

Participants wanted for the survey: "Investigating Perceptions of Academic Journals: Design Qualities and Reading Experiences"

Survey on Digital Research and History of Science Resources

The History of Science Society and the Isis Bibliographer are interested making better tools for scholarship in the 21st century, so we have created a survey and would like your help. An optional part of the survey involves an evaluation of IsisCB Explore for those who have used this service. Explore is an open access resource based on the Isis Current Bibliography.

Reminder: intentional community alumni

Thank you to those of you who answered survey questions for my research.  If you haven't, you can still help by answering the following question: have you belonged, or do you belong, to an intentional community?  I'm particularly interested here in any scholars with experience in this area who have also had some connection to SUS (meetings, journal etc.).  You can reply to me personally at  Thanks again!

SHGAPE Conference Survey

Dear SHGAPE Members and Friends,

The Society for Historians of the Gilded Age and Progressive Era (SHGAPE) is considering the possibility of organizing a stand-alone conference. As a SHGAPE member, we would like to solicit your feedback on whether this is a good idea and, if so, what such a conference should look like. Please complete the following brief survey, which should take no more than 5 minutes of your time.
