Call for Application_Postdoctoral Fellowships @ International Studies Group

The International Studies Group (ISG) at the University of the Free State, Bloemfontein, South Africa, has vacancies for postdoctoral Research Fellows starting in April 2023, with an annual stipend of ZAR 275,000. The positions are full-time for one year, with the possibility of extension for a further two years contingent on satisfactory progress. The ISG, headed by Professor Ian Phimister, is a research-intensive department, made up of post-doctoral Fellows and PhD students.

Luviri Press, Malawi, is pleased to call attention to the publication of the Second Edition of The Chiwaya War: Malawians and the First World War by Melvin E Page. Since serving as Fulbright Lecturer in History at the University of Malawi’s Chancellor College in the 1970s, Professor Page has been writing about the nation’s past, including his Chiwaya War, originally published in 2000.
