CfP: “Clientelism in 21st century: Theory and Practice in South Asia”- PJHS (Summer 2021)

We are seeking papers on the theme of “Clientelism in 21st century: Theory and Practice in South Asia” for the summer 2021 issue of the semi-annual scholarly journal, Pakistan Journal of Historical Studies (PJHS), published by the Indiana University Press (Bloomington, USA).

POSITION> Tenure-track or Tenured Professor in South Asian Studies, Harvard University, Department of South Asian Studies

The Department of South Asian Studies seeks to appoint a tenure-track or tenured professor in Tamil studies with an emphasis on Sangam literature and its enduring relevance in Tamil culture. The appointment is expected to begin on July 1, 2021. The appointee will teach and advise at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Doctorate in South Asian Studies or a related discipline required by the time the appointment begins. Breadth of coverage and a demonstrated strong commitment to teaching, advising, and research are desired.

Reconceptualizing the Cold War: On-the-ground Experiences in Asia (RCW) is a Singapore Ministry of Education-funded research project based in the Department of History at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and directed by A/P Masuda Hajimu. This project aims to build a digital database of oral interviews, for use by both researchers and students, that captures the emotions, enthusiasms, and fears of ordinary peoples who experienced the post-World War II decades in East, Southeast, and South Asia.
