Fascinating review on analyzing of the humble filing cabinet as a part of organizational technology. Thank you for bringing it to our attention! This is obviously relevant to H-Scholar, since it discusses scholarly practices, and yet it's the first ever such discussion of filing cabinets I've seen!
I love it when this happens. "In the twinkling of a [thought]" my perception of this common study "furniture" has changed.
