This year’s fellowship theme is "An Exploration of Central Asia." This year-long study will take a multidisciplinary approach to understanding Central Asian cultures and history, what unites the region, and what distinguishes its peoples, environment, and politics from its surroundings.

Program Announcement: Study Russian in Tbilisi, Georgia with American Councils

American Councils for International Education is pleased to announce that its Russian Language and Area Studies Program (RLASP) will also be offered for summer study in Tbilisi, Georgia beginning in 2023. For more than 40 years, American Councils programs have provided U.S. students of Russian unique opportunities to engage with the Russian speaking world through intensive study and cultural immersion designed to produce measurable gains in language proficiency and cultural understanding. The application deadline for summer 2023 is February 15, 2023.

American Councils is pleased to offer the following programs for students, scholars, and professionals in the REES field in 2023:

EVENT - The Holocaust in Belarus: historical perspectives and methodological innovations (December 16)

Join us on Friday 16th December in Caen (Caen Memorial Museum, France) or on zoom for a one-day international colloquium on the Holocaust in Belarus. It is co-organised by the University of Caen, Caen Memorial Museum and Parkes Institute at the University of Southampton

Interpretation (Russian, French, English ) will be available.
