 In celebration of Black Music Month, the Lapidus Center for the Historical Analysis of Transatlantic Slavery at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture of The New York Public Library will present the documentary film Tango Negro: The African Roots of Tango. Directed by Angolan filmmaker Dom Pedro Tango Negro, a beautiful and rich film, explores the African roots of tango in Argentina and Uruguay.
