I agree that it would be useful for H-CivWar to present new ideas, including "brief interviews with scholars of new works, or roundtable commentaries on new themes in the study of the period, or 'Five Points about the Civil War that K12 Teachers Shouldn't Ignore'." Podcasting would be another useful venue.

Thanks, Robert, for opening the gate to discussing ideas.  H-Net is getting into academic podcasting -- H-Law has started a couple of series.  I think it would be great to have a series at H-CivWar of brief interviews with scholars of new works, or roundtable commentaries on new themes in the study of the period, or "Five Points about the Civil War that K12 Teachers Shouldn't Ignore" kind of thing.
