The Department of History of Antwerp University is recruiting three PhD candidates in historical household finance. The PhD candidates will become part of the research project ‘The Social History of Finance’, funded with an FWO Odysseus grant. The project project explores why in Western economies banks only began to reach deep into society during the 1960s and 1970s.

The Graduate Program in German at Georgetown University invites applications to its Master's and PhD programs for the 2021/22 academic year.

For more than 15 years, I've kept a secret from everyone but my dearest friends and family: I failed my PhD Orals Exam. 

Even after landing a job, publishing books, tenure, and promotion to Full, I've never had the confidence to speak openly about this... until now.

We have a fully-funded PhD studentship at Kingston University, UK, to work on medical careers in the British Post Office. This research is part of Addressing Health, a three year Wellcome-funded project that explores morbidity, mortality and occupational health in the Victorian and Edwardian Post Office.
