The PhD candidates will become part of the research project ‘The Social History of Finance’, funded with an FWO Odysseus grant. The project project explores why in Western economies banks only began to reach deep into society during the 1960s and 1970s.

We have a fully-funded PhD studentship at Kingston University, UK, to work on medical careers in the British Post Office. This research is part of Addressing Health, a three year Wellcome-funded project that explores morbidity, mortality and occupational health in the Victorian and Edwardian Post Office.
