Hello.
My name is Benjamin Remillard and I am a PhD candidate at the University of New Hampshire. Together with Andrea Miles, a PhD candidate at the University of Louisville, we are looking to form a panel around people of color, citizenship, and belonging in the early republic. Our in-progress dissertations examine the lives of men of color across the eastern seaboard who served in the American War for Independence, so any additional panelists would ideally also examine men or women who played a role in that conflict.
Please consider submitting your work on BIPOC Europe for a Special Issue of Meridians: Feminism, Race, Transnationalism, co-edited by Nana Osei-Kofi and Shirley Anne Tate. Submissions are due December 15, 2021. The call for papers can be found here: https://sophia.smith.edu/meridians/submissions/call-for-submissions/.
