Re: OHA 2023_Seeking Panelists_ For Roundtable on Incorporating Oral History into Undergraduate Pedagogy

Hello everyone,

My name is Priscilla Martinez and I am a Ph.D. candidate in history at the University of California at Santa Cruz.  I am also an enthusiastic oral historian. I am putting out the bat signal in case anyone is still looking to join a roundtable about incorporating oral history and oral histories in undergraduate and graduate pedagogy.

CFP: Roundtable for 2023 Oral History Association Conference

We are looking for people to apply for a roundtable (or paper session) for the 2023 Oral History Association Conference. Specifically, we are interested in connecting with individuals who study the migration and food histories of underrepresented populations using oral histories. We are also broadly interested in proposals that consider creative outlets for sharing the oral histories of marginalized communities.

Roundtable on co-interviewing models seeking participants

Greetings!

As a part of my work as an independent oral historian, I've been an interviewer on a project documenting the history of the medical device technology industry in Silicon Valley. The project is using a co-interviewer model (me as the oral historian paired with an industry expert), and as someone who up to this project worked only as a solo interviewer, it's been really interesting to me how having a co-interviewer has changed the dynamics of the interview.
