Jon Davidann's The Limits of Westernization: American and East Asian Intellectuals Create Modernity, 1860-1960 (Routledge, 2019) recently won the Kenneth W. Baldridge Prize for the most outstanding history book by a resident of Hawai'i published between 2017-2019. Here are the Baldridge Committee's comments.
