Today we feature Clayton J. Butler to talk about his new book, True Blue: White Unionists in the Deep South during the Civil War and Reconstruction, published by the Louisiana State University Press in April 2022.
Clayton J. Butler is a Marketing and Sales Associate at the University of Virginia Press and a previous postdoctoral fellow at the Nau Center for Civil War History at the University of Virginia. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Virginia.
