CFP Reminder: SHGAPE is organizing a lightning around for the 2021 OAH to highlight the work of emerging scholars in the field. Each lightning round session includes 6-10 emerging scholars and 2 chairs/moderators. Each scholar has 5-8 minutes to give their “elevator pitch” of their research in quick succession followed by a question and answer period. If you are a graduate student or a recent Ph.D.

The new leadership of the Digital Humanities Network of the German Studies Association (GSA) would like to solicit proposals for two of its sponsored events at the 2020 GSA in Washington, D.C.
SHGAPE is organizing a lightning round session on the Gilded Age and Progressive era. We are looking for 3 more graduate students or other emerging scholars to participate (there will be ten total). A lightning round is a 90 minute session meant to highlight emerging scholarship in a field. Each scholar has 5 minutes to give their “elevator pitch” of their research in quick succession and then the floor will be open for discussion, which a senior scholar will moderate. Your research can be at any stage, as long as you can articulate it.
