It is reported that the vizier Abū al-Qāsim al-Maghribī (d. 418/1027) composed a refutation concerning a request of Khaybarī Jews to be exempted from paying the jizya. This affair occured during the caliphate of al-Qā'im bi-amr Allāh (Ibn al-Abbār, Iʻtāb al-kuttāb, ed. Ṣāliḥ al-Ashtar, Damascus, 1961, p. 206, where it says al-Yahūd al-Ḥabābira instead of al-Yahūd al-Khayābira).
