I “write” using voice-recognition software because my hands no longer function, and this process places limits on the location and speed of any written production. I am familiar with the “World Historical Dataverse” because I reviewed the proposal for NSF.
On October 22, 1964, Jean-Paul Sartre explained his refusal to accept the Nobel Prize for Literature in a statement made to the Swedish Press, which appeared in Le Monde in a French translation approved by Sartre. Sartre was awarded the Prize but refused it, declining any official honors and saying that a writer must not "let himself be transformed into an institution."
