NeMLA's First Ever Virtual Convention
NeMLA's 2021 convention is officially going virtual!
While we will miss seeing all of you in person next spring, we are excited to focus our energies into making the friendliest academic conference the best possible virtual conference.

CFP: Interdisciplinary Workshop in Spring 2021 Hosted by The Center for the Study of Force and Diplomacy at Temple University
We are inviting applications for a multidisciplinary PhD student research workshop to be held online in spring 2021. The workshop’s purpose is to advance the research projects of PhD students working on dissertations on inter-American relations or Latin American foreign policy, with the related goal of producing an edited book. PhD students from all disciplines of the social sciences and humanities are encouraged to apply. Chosen applicants will be paired with scholars in their field to workshop their paper.

The Humanities Center at Northeastern University in Boston will host a three-week NEH Summer Institute on the theme “Engaging Geography in the Humanities” from July 6-24, 2020. The institute will explore the possibilities and productive tensions at the intersection of geography and the humanities by engaging with readings, lectures, discussions, workshops, and field visits.
