Call for Applications: Young Strategists Forum, Tokyo (Jan 27-Feb 1, 2023)

The German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) is now accepting applications for the ninth Young Strategists Forum to be held in Tokyo, Japan from January 27 to February 1, 2023. The Young Strategists Forum seeks to develop a new generation of strategic thinkers for an age of constrained resources and mounting international challenges. The 2023 Young Strategists Forum will begin with a half-day, interactive seminar led by Bonnie Glaser, director of the GMF Asia Program. The seminar will help participants to understand strategic competition in the Indo-Pacific.

Short book (100-150 pages) manuscripts are invited for the Asian Studies Collection, Lived Places Publishing, a new generation of publishing based in New York and the U.K. This book series aims to increase our understanding of Asians in the world and the students of the world’s understanding of Asia. Our exploration of the people of Asia includes the Asian- and Indo-Pacific and the Asian Arctic regions. Books in the Asian Studies Collection will explore stories of people’s experiences in Asia through lived places, tangible and intangible, and a multitude of angles and perspective.
