Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens is accepting proposals for papers on diverse people and traditions in material culture and visual art in pre-1900 Texas, the Lower South, and the Southwest, to be presented at the 7th biennial David B. Warren Symposium in 2019 at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.

Tour the African American Gethsemane Cemetery, Little Ferry, this Saturday during Bergen County's Juneteenth Celebration

The Historic African American Gethsemane Cemetery, a Bergen County Historic Site, will be open 1:00 - 3:30 pm, Saturday, June 16th, during Bergen County’s Juneteenth Celebration.  Gethsemane Cemetery is located on Summit Place in Little Ferry, NJ.  It will be open for self-guided tours from 1:00–3:30 pm and a guided tour with Gethsemane Historian Arnold Brown at 2:15 pm.
