call for panelists "writing to save the planet"
For the 2020 conference of the Society for the History of Authorship, Reading, and Publishing, we are seeking one or two additional papers for a panel on the theme "writing to save the planet." The panel currently includes two papers. One will discuss Ida Honorof's newsletter A Report to the Consumer and Honorof's role in grassroots environmental activism in California in the 1970s and 1980s, and in particular her efforts in 1972 to keep Los Angeles County from spraying herbicides in residential areas.
