The James P. Geiss and Margaret Y. Hsu Foundation has awarded the Association for Asian Studies $20,000 to fund participation for Ming Studies scholars in the AAS 2023 Annual Conference in Boston, Massachusetts.
University of Washington Asian and Global Studies Course Development Grants
for Community College Faculty
The University of Washington’s Asian Studies and Global Studies Centers seek proposals from Community College full-time, part-time, and adjunct faculty for the development of a new course, revision of an existing course, or creation of a new course module that incorporates area studies centered on Asia into their curriculum.

Istanbul Research Institute (İAE) and Koç University’s Research Center for Anatolian Civilizations (ANAMED) are pleased to announce a new joint fellowship to support one post-doctoral scholar conducting research on the archaeology, architecture, art history, heritage, or history of Istanbul. The fellow will benefit from residence in Istanbul and the facilities of both the İAE and ANAMED.
The Society for the History of Childhood and Youth will award two $500 grants and one $1500 grant for events that take place in 2023–24.
The $500 grants will help defray expenses for speakers, workshops, and other scholarly events fully or partially devoted to the history of children and youth. Possible uses:
