new research note on early Japanese animation
Dear list members,
I have put up a new research note on "Japanese color animation from ca. 1907 to 1945" at http://litten.de/fulltext/color.pdf.
For those of you who have just stumbled over "ca. 1907": yes, it also covers the film strip "Katsudô shashin", aka the "Matsumoto Fragment" (it isn't a fragment, though), and its German counterparts.
