Seeking Panelists for AHA

Hi,

I'd like to put together a panel on domestic servants in the empire for the AHA. I will be presenting a paper on gendered meanings of a dialect of Swahili used by Kenyan whites with their servants. Papers that consider issues of race, class, gender, and sexuality would be particularly welcome.

If you are interested, please email me at ewwilliams@umass.edu as soon as possible so we can try to get the panel submitted by the Feb. 15 deadline.

Best,

Elizabeth Williams
