This year’s conference of SCOLMA (the UK Libraries and Archives Group on Africa) focuses on health and medicine in Africa, historically and today. The conference, ‘African Medicine Matters: documenting encounters in medical practice and healthcare’, will take place in Cambridge, UK, on Tuesday 6th September 2016. The keynote speaker is Dr Benson Mulemi of the Catholic University of East Africa.
The UK’s African Studies Association (ASAUK) biennial conference will be held at the University of Cambridge (Robinson College) from 7-9 September 2016 to coincide with the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Cambridge Centre for African Studies.
