This year’s virtual Glimmerglass Film Festival offers several indigenous choices (as well as many others) that may be of interest to our membership. These are not free, unfortunately, but the single film price is five dollars.

Tendo sua origem ligada a um mercado popular na região do cais do porto, em Salvador a festa de Santa Bárbara é também a festa de Iansã, Oyá, Matamba, Bamburucema, forças e energias dos cultos africanos que na Bahia plantaram definitivamente seus Axés. Hoje, mais de 300 anos depois, mantemos a tradição de festejá-las no dia 04 de dezembro.
