Re: Dissertation Research During the Pandemic

The timing of Dan's post rings especially true for me: last week, I realized that with the National Archives reopening, it was time to stop delaying my time in residence. So I've flown across country for an unknown length of time, to dig in deep. (BTW, if anyone has connections to DC-area housing, please let me know -- I've got a place to stay for April and again from June 9 on, but May is entirely a question mark. I tell myself this helps me enter the mindset of instability that marked life during the Civil War, so it too is part of the research ; 0)
