Ukrainian Researchers Scheme (Irish Research Council)


Following the outbreak of war in Ukraine and the resulting refugee crisis, Ireland’s research funders have been engaging collaboratively on developments, in particular relating to how researchers from Ukraine who are arriving in Ireland due to the war can be supported by the Irish research system.

Call for Applications: Up to 10 Prisma Ukraïna Postdoc Fellowships 2022/23

Up to 10 resident and non-resident Prisma Ukraïna Postdoc Fellowships for 2022/2023:

  • one Postdoctoral Resident Fellowship of up to 16 months in Berlin
  • four Postdoctoral Three-Month Resident Bridge-Fellowships in Berlin (within the period of 1 July–31 December 2022)
  • up to five Postdoctoral Non-Resident Fellowships from 3 to 12 months, starting 1 October 2022

Location: Berlin, Germany (for resident fellowships) / Ukraine or neighbouring countries (for non-resident fellowships)

Nonresidential Fellowships for Ukrainian Scholars at IU Bloomington

Applications for this fellowship are available in both English and Ukrainian

A new agreement will support up to 20 humanities and social sciences scholars who are in or from Ukraine for one-year, nonresidential fellowships at Indiana University Bloomington, Provost Rahul Shrivastav has announced.

The University of Sheffield offers Sanctuary Scholarships for those who have sought refuge in the UK - for example, students who have been displaced or affected by the Russian invasion of Ukraine, a conflict in their home country, or have another reason for their forced migration to the UK.

CfA: Making Ukrainian Scholarship Visible (University of Erfurt)

As part of the fundraising campaign for endangered scholars, the Ukraine Initiative of different members the University of Erfurt and the "Universitätsgesellschaft Erfurt" is offering to scholars from Ukraine the opportunity to deliver guest lectures. The aim is to provide visibility for our Ukrainian colleagues and their work.
