Woodenfish Ultimate Concern: Death and Afterlife is an academic conference that will be held in Guangzhou, China, Thursday, June 8 through Sunday, June 10, 2018.  Conference proceedings will be in English.  Simultaneous interpretation will be available in Chinese.

We have an upcoming event here at the School of East Asian Studies, University of Sheffield, that some of you may be interested in. 

Anne Allison is Professor of Cultural Anthropology at Duke University and will be presenting here in Sheffield on Thursday 26 October, The Diamond, Lecture Theatre 5, 4pm-6pm (this will be followed by a drinks reception). Her paper entitled 'Relations with Dead Remains in an Era of Living/Dying Alone' will explore various questions related to the important topic of life and death!
