CFP: Queering Labor History

The Labor Network of the SSHA is putting together a panel on queering labor history. Topics can range from the lesbian, gay, trans*, bisexual, and otherwise non-hetero-or-cis-normative individuals or groups in the trade union movement, the history of work within the queer community, the intersection of queer theory with labor history, as well as any topic that may fit under this heading.

Call for panelists: I am organizing a panel for the 2016 SSHA Meeting (Chicago, Nov. 17-20) – Migration/Immigration Network. The theme is “Beyond Social Science History: Knowledge in an Interdisciplinary World.” My work considers the intersection of migration and religion, and I am hopeful that this panel can explore, in an interdisciplinary manner, the connections that the leadership of the Catholic Church in America have had with counterparts elsewhere in the world.
