“Ambivalent Enmity” aspires to contribute to a theory-guided understanding of the dynamics and ambivalences of enmity through empirical case studies situated in and between Europe, Asia, and the Middle East from the Middle Ages to the present.

Українсько-німецька історична комісія  (УНІК) надає три стипендії для дослідницької діяльності в Німеччині максимальним терміном один місяць. Конкурс розрахований на істориків та історикинь, які працюють над німецькою чи німецько-українською історичною тематикою в рамках магістерської, кандидатської чи докторської роботи, а також післядисертаційних проєктів. Дослідницька стипендія призначена для відвідування архівів, спеціалізованих бібліотек та науково-дослідних установ і, за необхідності, участі в конференціях в Німеччині, пов’язаних з дослідницьким проєктом.

The Parkes Institute for the Study of Jewish/non-Jewish Relations at the University of Southampton is delighted to once again invite applications for two visiting fellows to take up temporary positions at the Parkes Institute.

The University of Erfurt encourages postdoctoral female researchers to hand in applications for scholarships, which are funded through a programme for early-career female researchers and artists supported by the state of Thuringia (TMWWDG) and a programme for female professors supported by the German federal and state governments.

The Russian, East European, and Eurasian Center and the Slavic Reference Service at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign are pleased to announce that they will continue to accept applications for Virtual Title VIII Associates to participate in the Spring 2023 Open Research Laboratory (ORL) on a rolling basis through April 5, 2023 or until all awards are made.

We invite applications for the Chair of Taiwan Studies at Leiden University and the International Institute for Asian Studies (IIAS). The Chair provides a Professorial Fellow position of five or ten months for a visiting scholar in Taiwan Studies to teach and conduct research at Leiden University and IIAS in Leiden, the Netherlands.
