The editors of Labour History: a Journal of Labour and Social History welcome contributions for forthcoming issues.
Renowned folklorist Barre Toelken once described how, while growing up in one of the small Massachusetts towns that was destroyed in 1938 in order to build the Quabbin Reservoir, members of his local community “and their descendants [continued] to gather near the shore for picnics and nostalgic conversation, and photos from early times there were saved like holy relics” (Toelken 1996, 411). This maintenance of a shared sense of place and local identity in the face of human-induced destruction is not unlike many others that folklorists have documented.
The Race and Yoga editorial board is currently seeking articles, personal narratives, interviews, book reviews, and creative works for the seventh issue of the journal, a combined issue for 2022 and 2023. Race and Yoga is a peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary, and international academic journal committed to critical examinations of the history, politics, and practice of yoga.
Possible topics may include yoga in relationship to:
● Practices during the COVID-19 context, including but not limited to:
World History Bulletin is seeking quality research essays, lesson plans, and classroom activities for inclusion in its upcoming Spring 2023 issue, “Food and World History.”
