This is to remind you that the deadline for nominating outstanding European PhD dissertations in Buddhist Studies for this round of the Khyentse Foundation prize is 31 January 2021.  

Please don't hesitate to circulate this announcement, and to encourage bright young academics who completed a PhD on any topic relevant to Buddhist Studies during the accademic years 2018/19 and 2019/20 to compete for this generous award.

Nominations are now open for the Pennsylvania Historical Association’s 2021 William Pencak Award for the best undergraduate research paper about Pennsylvania and/or mid-Atlantic history.

2021 Farrar Award in Media & Civil Rights History

The School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of South Carolina is pleased to announce that nominations are being accepted for the 2021 Ronald T. and Gayla D. Farrar Award in Media & Civil Rights History. The award recognizes the best journal article or chapter in an edited collection on the historical relationship between the media and civil rights, published in 2019 or 2020. The work must constitute historical scholarship. A national panel of scholars will judge the competition.
