On Wednesday March 4, join the Smithsonian’s Lemelson Center for the Study of Invention and Innovation for the second program in its 2020 Innovative Lives program series at the National Museum of American History. Innovative Lives: Jogbra Inventors Lisa Lindahl, Hinda Miller, and Polly Smith will feature a panel discussion with the 2020 National Inventors Hall of Fame inductees who created the very first commercial sports bra.

Collection Description (from online finding aid): Herb Elliott was born in Subiaco on 25 February 1938. From the age of 15 until his retirement from athletics at the age of 22, he was never beaten over a mile or 1500 metres. A qualified engineer, he has served on a number of Australian Government committees, mostly in relation to sport.
