15 OCTOBER DEADLINE REMINDER: Entries for the SHERA Emerging Scholar Prize

DEADLINE REMINDER: The Society of Historians of Eastern European, Eurasian and Russian Art and Architecture (SHERA) is pleased to announce a call for submissions for the newly-established SHERA Emerging Scholar Prize. The award, to be announced at the Society’s annual meeting at ASEEES, aims to recognize and encourage original and innovative scholarship in the field. Applicants must have published an English-language article in a scholarly print or online journal or museum print or online publication within the preceding twelve-month period.

Fábio Macedo wins the 2017 Fass-Sandin Prize for the Best Article on the History of Childhood and Youth (Spanish and French)

The committee received eight high-quality nominees for work published between 2015 and 2017, and selected the following two articles to receive the Prize and an Honorable Mention:

The prize is awarded to the best article on the subject of American periodicals published in a peer-reviewed academic journal between January 1, 2016 and December 31, 2017.

 

The Article Prize is designed for early-career scholars. Graduate students and those who received their Ph.D. no earlier than January 1, 2012 are eligible to apply.
