Seeking author for the Encyclopedia of Arkansas

The online Encyclopedia of Arkansas History & Culture, a project of the Butler Center for Arkansas Studies at the Central Arkansas Library System, is seeking authors for entries on all those individuals and groups inducted into the Arkansas Black Hall of Fame, which will be celebrating its twenty-fifth anniversary next year. All entries are peer reviewed and come with honoraria of five cents per assigned word ($25 for a 500-word entry, for example) upon completion. If you would be interested in writing one or more of these entries, please contact the editor, Dr.

Call for Local Authors and Historians

I am a new member of the H-Local discussion list and I wanted to formally introduce myself and my company, The History Press. We are a traditional, local and regional book publisher that focuses on local and regional history documented by local authors and historians. Currently, we are seeking authors and historians who are interested in writing about their local history. The History Press has a wide range of series for authors to choose from, however, we are also interested in books outside of these series.

Call for Civil War Historians and Authors

I am a new member of the H-Net Civil War discussion list and I wanted to formally introduce myself and my company, The History Press. We are a traditional publisher that focuses on local and regional history and culture books by local authors and historians. We handle all aspects of the publishing process from financial, editorial, design, and production to sales, marketing, and distribution. We also compensate our authors in the form of royalties. We are not a vanity press, therefore, we do not require financing for our publications.
