Seeking co-author for Arabic translation

Hello

I am an early career researcher working on medieval Arabic geographical sources. I am putting together a book proposal for a partial translation of a work a twelfth-century Arabic geographical treatise. I have done the bulk of the translation but would like to work with a native speaker with translation exprience to polish and develop this translation and translate another excerpt together. You would be a co-author should be the book be published.

Re: Research Query: Help with Arabic words from passage by Vladimir Jabotinsky 1915

Dear Brian,

Jabotinsky's GYAUR, that is, gâvur in Turkish: "infidel, unbeliever." It is anglicized into giaour. This was the offensive term used, for example, against Christians. See Lord Byron's poem, "The Giaour: A Fragment of a Turkish Tale" (1813); Encyclopaedia of Islam, Second Edition, "Gabr" (A. Bausani).
