Susanneh Bieber Wins 2017 Terra International Essay Prize

The Smithsonian American Art Museum is pleased to announce that Susanneh Bieber, an assistant professor in the departments of visualization and architecture at Texas A&M University, is the winner of the 2017 Terra Foundation for American Art International Essay Prize. Bieber’s award-winning essay, “Going Back to Kansas City: The Origins of Judd’s Minimal Art,” will appear in a forthcoming issue of American Art, the peer-reviewed journal co-published by the museum and the University of Chicago Press.
