A weekend of talks and performances dedicated to the notion of Black Travel, curated by Johny Pitts, TV host and author of the forthcoming publication ‘Afropean: Documenting Black Europe’.
Within the general notion of travelling, we will look to complicate an area overly hinged on white, masculine, heteronormative experiences, and celebrate the gaze of a diverse group of travelers who are often ignored.

A weekend of talks and performances dedicated to the notion of Black Travel will be curated by Johny Pitts, TV host and author of the forthcoming publication Afropean: Documenting Black Europe (June 2019) and the Afropean team Yomi Bazuaye and Nat Illumine.
Johny Pits, founder of Afropean.com and producer of the BBC documentary, Something Old, Something New, will be hosting a social media conversation at 4 PM today (UK time). He will also be sharing news about his forthcoming Afropean project with Penguin Books.
