1914-1918-online. International Encyclopedia of the First World War is an English-language online reference work on World War I dedicated to publishing high quality peer-reviewed content. Each article in the encyclopedia is a self-contained publication and its author receives full recognition. All articles receive a distinct URL address as well as a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) and are fully citable as scholarly publications.
South Asia, home to one quarter of the earth’s population, is of extraordinary global importance. Its impact and its output touch virtually all countries on earth. Its influence in the world cuts across all sectors of human experience. Presenters and panels at SASA 2018 will address and share knowledge and insights about South Asia’s rich and unrivaled past, its bold and remarkable present, and its soaring prospects for the future.
This is a call for the LUMS annual conference on Courts and Politics in Pakistan to be held on 14-15 March 2018. The conference is jointly organized by the Mushtaq Ahmed Gurmani School of Humanities and Social Sciences (MGSHSS) and the Shaikh Ahmad Hassan School of Law (SAHSOL). The conference will focus on the role of higher courts in dealing with cases concerning the Constitution, making and breaking of governments and relations among institutions.

The American Institute of Afghanistan Studies and Edinburgh University Press are pleased to announce the launch of AFGHANISTAN, which will be published every Spring and Autumn beginning in April 2018. The Editor-in-Chief is Warwick Ball, FSA, a Near Eastern archaeologist and specialist of Afghanistan; and the Managing Editor is Shivan Mahendrarajah (Ph.D., Cantab, ’14), a scholar in Islamic history and Persian Studies.
