The 2018 Annual Meeting of the Charles Wesley Society will be held on 9-11 August at the New Room, Bristol. The New Room was built by John Wesley in 1739 and is the oldest Methodist building in the world. The programme will include a keynote address by Dr Martin Clarke, author of British Methodist Hymnody: Theology, Heritage, and Experience (Routledge, 2017) and visits to historic Wesley sites in Bristol, including Charles Wesley's home.
