During this two week NEH summer institute, you are invited to explore the remarkably understudied story of how women in the Americas achieved suffrage. Seventeen specialists from Argentina to Canada will each present a piece of the inter connecting pattern that led to suffrage extensions across the hemisphere. You will receive a stipend to defray the costs of the institute, the opportunity to interact with colleagues from across the Americas and work alongside of some of the leading scholars in the field of women's history. University and community college faculty are invited to apply.
