We would like to invite proposals for the conference ‘Gender, Politics and Agency’ to be held at the University of Winchester on 30 August-1 September 2016. This conference aims to draw together scholars and postgraduate students from different disciplines who share a common interest in the study of gender from a standpoint of politics and agency. We invite you to interpret these terms in the widest possible sense across all periods, cultures, geographical regions and academic disciplines. We are also willing to accommodate both paper and poster formats for presenting your research.

Conference: THE POLITICS OF ARMED STRUGGLE IN SOUTHERN AFRICA
I am putting together a panel on the politics of violence in 20th century U.S. history for the OAH in New Orleans in April 2017. We have a couple panelists and are looking for a few more participants. We are open to framing the panel broadly/around other panelists' work. We currently have someone working on gun control and another person working on public debates about decreasing violence in the 1960s and 1970s. Email firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in joining.
