Theme: The Traditional Systems of Conflict Resolution
Papers are invited from researchers of European religious orders, both male and female, for a symposium at Northumbria University, Newcastle. This one-day symposium will explore the ways that religious orders participated in, responded to, and critiqued Empire during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Religious orders were instrumental in spreading ideas of belonging, civilisation, and faith.

Abstracts are being accepted for the National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR), which will be held at the University of Central Oklahoma April 4-7, 2018. Undergraduate students from all disciplines are encouraged to submit proposals for posters, oral presentations, performances, or visual art displays. The Council on Undergraduate Research holds the annual event to showcase student research conducted at four-year and two-year colleges and universities.
