The Liberty University History Department and the National D-Day Memorial Foundation will be hosting a conference on June 5, 2018. While the conference will have a focus on World War II in Film, we welcome a wide array of paper topics and/or panel proposals on World War II topics and aim to create a forum for collegial discourse with scholars and students from various perspectives and academic disciplines. Undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to submit proposals as well. The conference will feature Dr. Don Miller of Lafayette College as its keynote speaker.

The Ackerman Center invites you to join fellow scholars March 3-5, 2018 as we continue the important legacy established by Franklin H. Littell and Hubert G. Locke nearly fifty years ago. This conference offers the opportunity to address the historical significance of the Holocaust through scholarship that is interfaith, international, and interdisciplinary.

Call for chapter proposals: Mass violence and genocide in Asia
For an anthology, further chapter proposals dealing with mass violence and genocide in Asia (esp. South and Southeast Asia) are requested to be sent until November 25, 2017. Especially proposals for chapters that deal with specific forms of violence, victim or perpetrator perspectives are of interest.
Final chapters, ranging from 7,000-10,000 words (footnotes, Chicago Manual of Style) are expected until January 31, 2018.
