We are looking for presenters to contribute a paper on a panel covering agricultural modernization and development schemes during the Cold War in Latin America for the LASA annual congress in New York City in May 2016. We are interested in papers that explore the intersection between agricultural modernization, science, politics, and environmental change on either a local or regional scale but linked conceptually to the inter-American Cold War experience.

If interested please respond with a brief abstract in English or Spanish. Panel submissions are due by September 8.

The videos will followed by an informative panel discussion featuring Cindy Dunn, Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and John Quigley, Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. Admission to the event is free.
